Prøvelser renser selvets flekker fra hjertets speil til sannhetens sol kan kaste sine stråler på det, for det er ikke noe slør mer blokkerende enn selvet, og uansett hvor ubetydelig sløret er vil det stenge en person ute fullstendig og holde hans del av evig velsignelse tilbake.

Jo mer en er avkuttet fra verden, fra begjær og menneskelige anliggender og tilstander jo mer upåvirket blir man av Guds prøvelser. Prøvelser er et middel hvorved en sjels tilstand blir målt, og avslørt av sine egne handlinger. Gud kjenner til dets tilstand på forhånd, og også dets uforberedthet, men mennesket, med et selv, ville ikke trodd at han selv var uskikket hvis han ikke fikk bevis. Derfor er hans mottakelighet for det onde lagt fram for han når han kommer utfor prøvelser, og prøvelsene fortsetter til sjelen forstår sin egen uskikkethet, og så har anger og samvittighetsnag en tendens til å fjerne svakhetens rot. De samme prøvelsene kommer igjen i større grad, til det vises at en tidligere svakhet har blitt en styrke, og kraften til å overvinne ondskap har blitt etablert. Abdul Baha fire & gold s. 14 og 15

Frustration, questions and anwers from above.

I think it is hard to understand that everything that happens is Gods will, (God is always in control) even though we all have a free will and have an influence on how the world is by our actions, and even prayer! I know it isn't black and white, that we interact with God somehow, but this interaction is hard to understand. Also we say only humans are responsible for evil actions, but is that entirely true? God makes it happen for us to learn, right? So how is it then possible to know what God wants to happen? God can not be all about what is good, God is also about us knowing the truth, right? Why should I pray for a certain result when God is in control anyway?

I have found peace with the subject now after I got some input from above.I received that Gods will will happen no matter what happens and no matter how bad things unfolds. It doesn't have to be so bad in the world for us to grow as it is. If we pray we will be channels for more good energy to pour into this world so the process of growing will be less bad or easier to handle. So to pray is important.

Answers from the human plane: Prayers also makes us more resilient when we experience tests. When we meet evil we can always look at what the evil brings about in ourselves and get control of that instead of trying to control the evil in others.

What I think today, the day after i wrote this, when someone says : why pray?: Some things are a waste of time praying about, I guess, like when you want a certain result, but for getting help understanding things and developing deeds it is useful. Also to just get in contact with the spiritual realm for what ever reason, as it is where we all belong.

I think we are meant to eat fruits mostly.

I did a thought experiment before I decided to become vegan. I pictured my self being the only human being in the world and that the world was new and fresh. I had to find food. What would I eat? I would not even think about killing an animal or a fish. I would not think of eating eggs from birds. I would go where it was always summer and eat fruit, fruit and more fruit.

Hva er kjærlighet for deg?

Vi gir kjærlighet på forskjellige måter basert på kultur, evner og egne behov. Min sønn har 1 definisjon på kjærlighet og det er å få kos. Antakeligvis inkludert trøst og lytting. Jeg oppfattet ikke kjærlighet før jeg så en uselvisk handling. Det jeg oppfatter som kjærlighet og som jeg setter mest pris på nå er:

Nr 1: Å bli tatt på alvor. 2 Bli forstått: å bli lyttet til grundig. 3. Få støtte: ta del i mine problemer og undersøke de sammen med meg + oppmuntring og glede på mine vegne. 4: å ville se meg glad og at jeg skal føle meg verdifull.
