You can't hear the silver bells that's with me.
You can't see it is golden leaves I can give you from my tree.
You don't have the light on me so black is all that you see.
And you're own leaves are brown.
You are too much in the sun.
And you don't let the rain fall down on you.
Too proud to melt down.
When you're not leaving me a passage from the sun.
you're not leaving me, you're leaving the grownd.
Cause you don't have faith in me.
You don't think well of me.
You don't believe in me.
So I can't help holding that away from you.
You don't hear the silver bells cling in my voice
or see a golden leaf on my tree.
That's because I never give that for you
to hear and see.
Cause you don't have faith in me.
You don't think well of me.
You don't believe in me.
So I can't help holding that away from you.

1 One evening I dance in the street
under the lamps to No doubt’s beat
“tragic kingdom” while others sleep.
2 On the other side of the fence
a woman weeps.
She has lit a candle in the darkness
by a grave. Looking fearless like me.
ref:
I’m searching for the soul without tears
the soul without fear
of being judged or dead
in this kingdom of dread.
3 At home I’m licked softly
on a hard machine
by a man in a blue quilted jacket, naked.
My son watch Tom & Jerry on TV.
4 You’re licking me, I’m licking you.
Stimulated, alive and free.
Nothing’s gonna drain me.
At least not sexuality.
ref:
I’m searching for the soul without tears
the soul without fear
of being judged or dead
in this kingdom of dread.
5 I will not reach any peak
before I’m in the valley deep.
There is paradise for me.
A garden of children that know no fear.
